TOO LONG...and Some Transformations

We have had such a summer...busy like we never planned and not even close to letting up. We're moving in 2 weeks and praying our house (that has been on the market for 1year) sells before then!

I have been doing projects but the thought of sitting down and blogging them takes more time than I've had, let alone getting it accomplished. Right now, I'm determined to finish this post!

Thanks for hanging with me and I hope you enjoy the latest things. Please ignore the transformed furniture being in the garage...that is the moving part staging it, not me.

Leaning Mirror:(Anna Kintigh Version $13)

We (my husband and I) had a unframed mirror that we'd purchased a while back for $10. We secured it to a piece of plywood backer that was cut bigger than the mirror. Then we secured old fence boards, which were already just hanging out board in our garage. Once those were secured and framed out, I used Dark Walnut Minwax and stained it with a couple of coats.

West Elm's Version for $329 (on sale)

I'm pretty excited! I will show you it's new home, once we're moved.

Old Sewing Table Turned Entry Way Console Table:
(found at a garage sale for $25)

I'm so excited with how this turned out. I primed it with a carmel toned paint (my free paint that I got in a promotion). Then I painted two coats of a butter yellow that I had on hand from my daughter's bedroom. After that I distressed it with some sand paper and a couple of my husband's scraper tools that I saw when my sand paper ran out! Then, I glazed it. I used a Benjamin Moore glaze that was clear and I just tinted it with some brown paint I already had.

Once we're moved, I'll begin a series about "Turning a Rental House into A Home to Love"
